Role Scope Statment:
The Shipping Clerk supports the Manufacturing Supervisor in receiving local vendor orders and executing delivery of all local and export orders through efficient planning and coordination. The overall responsibilities include shipment arrangement, transportation, ERP management, and submission of accurate shipping documentation.
Main Accountabilities:
- Perform import and export coordination and manage the full set of shipping documentation in accordance with customer instructions, while ensuring strict compliance with company policies, export compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate the receipt of vendor goods.
- Perform timely work order receiving from manufacturing and service teams for manufactured and assembled goods.
- Coordinate closely with the Customer, Finance, Production, and Warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and proper documentation in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and accounting requirements.
- Compile and perform daily cycle count updates in the system and maintain proper documentation.
- Maintain relationships with all common carriers and customs brokers to ensure that the company’s and intercompany logistical needs are met in the most expeditious and cost-effective manner. Support cost-reduction initiatives in association with freight and insurance review.
- ERP: update the system with dates and shipping documentation.
- AMP accountabilities: ship pumps and upload shipping documents.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse management
- Related experience and/or training
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail
- Forklift experience preferred
- Experience with ERP / MRP systems such as PRMS or SAP preferred
- Previous experience with the online systems of FedEx, UPS and other carriers is desired
- May be required to lift or push up to 50 pounds
- HS Diploma / GED and 0-3 years relevant experience
