We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to develop a PhD thesis focused on the design and evaluation of energy efficiency and community energy policies to boost justice, using advanced optimisation tools. Moreover, it will be based on the openMASTER model, an energy planning tool, with the inclusion of the RENE model for calculating the required energy expenditure. The aim of the work will be to investigate innovative regulatory scenarios, such as building renovation programmes or energy communities, evaluating their impact on different vulnerable social groups.

This research work is part of the action lines of the Chair of Energy and Poverty at Comillas Pontifical University and the Institute for Research and Technology. It is in person in Madrid.

Requirements
- Official master´s degree in Engineering, economics, or related disciplines, with a strong interest in the social dimensions of energy systems.
- Experience in energy modelling, regulatory analysis, or public policy evaluation will be considered an asset.
- Language: Fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Will be valued: Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
