Job Description:
The Student Affairs, Diversity and Inclusion team in Valencia is looking for 2 Orientation Leaders to help support our Orientation week for undergraduate students. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing general student, programmatic, and logistical support to the arrival of these new students.
Employment Dates: Wednesday January 7, 2026 - Wednesday January 21, 2026 (Orientation week, including Move In starts on Tuesday January 13, 2026 and finishes on Friday January 16, 2026)
Type of Position: Full time temporary
Eligibility Requirements:
- Berklee Valencia alumni, including recent graduates from July 2025
- Must be able to work in Europe /Spain
- Must speak English
- Must be in Valencia, able to work in person. Responsible for own housing
- Must be available for entire Orientation week + part of week prior and week after
- Outgoing, dynamic and overall willingness to connect and interact with participants
- Musical background, performance and production experience
- Experience working with college students
- Spanish speaking
- Experience working with production, lights and sound equipment
- Assist with Orientation preparation one week prior to program start/arrival date
- Responsible for the 1-2 cohorts of Study Abroad students (approx 30-40 in each group) for campus tours, icebreakers, etc
- Serve as first point of contact for students for questions regarding day-to-day logistics and getting around the city
- Plan and lead extracurricular activities during Orientation (as assigned) to help students bond with each other and help them to engage with the Valencia and Berklee community. Sample activities include jam sessions or open mic nights (including offering production support), Spanish language circles, icebreakers, etc
- Assist the Student Affairs, Diversity and Inclusion team with logistical support regarding preparing materials, Orientation sessions and activities.
- Additional training and/or documentation may be required (ie: operating Aula Magna)
- Coordination of student volunteers (ie: Student Advisory Board, student initiative leaders, Post Master students, etc)
- Cover letter that addresses the applicant’s capabilities and experiences.
- A Resume or Curriculum Vitae.
