📢 At China Three Gorges Europe we are looking for a M&A Intern (Local) to join our Strategy & Investment Department - M&A Local Team and support our mission of powering the world with renewable energy. In this role, you will learn and assist in different tasks:

Support the M&A CTGE Local team in the execution of new investments and in the management of invested companies / assets in the following functions:

• Assist in the preparation and review of financial models for brownfield and greenfield investment opportunities, primarily in onshore wind, offshore wind, solar PV, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• Assist in the coordination of due diligence processes.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations and materials for CTGE’s Investment Committees.
• Assist in the monitoring of invested companies/assets, considering technical, operational, economic, financial, legal, and environmental aspects. Report in appropriate forums the results, risks and relevant issues.
• Provide general support on the tasks and projects within the M&A department as required.
• Support headquarters and prepare reporting for the relevant governance forums.

💼 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field from a
• reputable university.
• Experience in investment banking, private equity, business development, project finance, or deal transaction teams at a Big Four firm.
• Fluency in written and spoken English

Other Valuable Requirements:

• Experience as an analyst and in the renewable enegy sector will be a plus.
• CFA would be a plus
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Windows OS, MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)..
• Based in Madrid, analytical, detail oriented, used to work under pressure and with tight deadlines..
