Company Description
Florentine Kitchen Knives is a Barcelona-based workshop producing high-end handmade kitchen knives and tools. Since 2012, we have focused on precision craftsmanship, small-batch production, and exceptional customer experience. Every knife is made in-house using a combination of traditional techniques and modern manufacturing, with a deep emphasis on quality, detail, and material excellence. We are a small, dedicated team growing steadily, and we are looking for someone who wants to contribute directly to the daily rhythm and craftsmanship of our workshop.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Barcelona for a Logistics & Quality Control Officer.
The role covers several key areas of our workshop operations: managing incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing and packing orders, performing quality control on blades and handles, laser marking parts, organizing stock, and keeping the workspace clean and running smoothly.
You will work closely with production, assembly, and customer service to ensure that orders are made correctly, completed on time, and shipped out with the highest level of accuracy. This is a hands-on role that combines logistics, operational coordination, and workshop support. The right candidate will take ownership, maintain high standards, and help keep our production flow organized and efficient.
Qualifications
- Experience with inventory control, stock management, or workshop/warehouse operations
- Strong sense of order, precision, and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with physical products and hands-on tasks (packing, inspecting, basic machine operations like laser marking)
- Good administrative and organizational skills
- Clear communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced, small-team environment
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with logistics or inventory software is a plus
- Prior experience in a similar role is highly advantageous
- No specific degree required; reliability and skill are more important than formal credentials
Conditions
This is a full-time, on-site position in our Poblenou workshop, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 17:00. The salary follows the starting scale of the Spanish metal sector (Convenio del Metal), with all conditions aligned to that agreement. As an added benefit, lunch is provided daily and shared together as a team in the workshop. Additional improvements or adjustments to the role can grow over time based on performance and responsibility.
