Do you dream of inspiring travellers and helping them fall in love with their destination by immersing them in your local culture and exposing them to real life experiences? Being a Tour Leader with Intrepid, you will do just that!
Every day will be different, but every day you will:
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences and share your love of travel every step of the way - whether that’s leading a morning market walk, arranging a local craft workshop, or hosting a home-cooked meal with a family. You’ll help create moments that stay with our travellers long after the trip ends.
- Prioritise the safety and wellbeing of your group. You’ll stay calm and professional when challenges arise - from lost passports and medical needs to group dynamics - ensuring travellers feel supported the entire time.
- Lead and manage trips in line with itineraries and budgets, while completing all required trip administration accurately and on time.
- Bring our values to life - be Real in your connections, Ambitious in creating incredible experiences, work Togetherwith your team and local partners, and make every journey Impactful for our travellers and the communities we visit.
- Excellent communication in English, Spanish and possibly one other local language (the more the better!)
- Strong customer service experience and the ability to develop a rapport with a broad range of travellers
- Have strong travel experience in Spain (essential), with additional experience in nearby Western European countries such as Portugal, France, or other parts of the region
- Strong organisation and computer skills – including the use of email, Word, and Excel
- Full rights to work in Spain at present (we are unable to support obtaining these rights)
- This is a Seasonal Employee Contract position, which will give you flexibility in when and how you work however, great availability across peak seasons (April – November) is a must-have
- We are recruiting for leaders frequently with training and onboarding commencing in Early March - specific dates to be given at interview.
- With extended hours, lots of walking and activities, and engaging with travellers, so, it’s important that you are prepared both mentally and physically for the challenge!
- You’ll need the ability to travel and spend time away from home, as our leaders often travel for extensive periods at a time as some tours can span up to four weeks.
- You will primarily lead tours in Spain , with occasional opportunities to run trips in nearby Western European countries such as Portugal or France. You can explore example itineraries here: www.intrepidtravel.com
