Your mission
We are a leading provider of public bike-sharing systems, building cleaner, more connected communities through sustainable urban mobility. As the Head of Operations for South West Europe (f/m/d), you will hold the ultimate responsibility for the operational success and financial health of our systems across the region. You are a strategic leader who manages a team of Regional Managers, ensuring that our corporate vision is translated into high-quality service and operational excellence on the ground.
- You’ll drive strategic leadership, developing and implementing overarching operational strategies that maximize efficiency and align perfectly with our global corporate goals.
- Own the financial health of the department, overseeing the entire budget management process, from resource allocation to strict cost control and long-term financial planning.
- Lead through performance management, establishing and analyzing high-level KPIs to identify growth opportunities and spearhead initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness.
- Standardize and scale processes, ensuring that our systems across SWE operate with consistent quality and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Empower and develop leaders, providing direct guidance and professional support to your team of Regional Managers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment.
- Act as the primary bridge to Senior Management, ensuring transparent communication regarding regional performance, strategy, and challenges.
- Strategize for growth, providing final approval and high-level guidance for new system launches, expansions, and major service restarts within the region.
- Collaborate across the organization, working closely with Account Management, Finance, and HR to ensure operational feasibility and long-term personnel planning.
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in Operations Management, including a proven track record in a senior leadership role where you have successfully managed other managers.
- You are a financial expert, with extensive experience in budget management and a deep sensitivity to cost-efficiency and financial planning.
- You are a multilingual leader, fluent in at least English and Spanish (written and spoken). Any additional European language (such as French, Italian, Portuguese, or Dutch) would be considered a significant asset.
- You have deep industry knowledge, ideally with experience in mobility systems, smart city projects, or two-wheeler technology.
- You are a data-driven strategist, proficient in using analytics to monitor performance and make informed executive decisions.
- You have a proven track record of successful negotiation and collaboration with work councils in key SWE countries, specifically navigating labor relations within the rapidly evolving micromobility sector.
- You are a resilient and pragmatic leader, possessing exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- You are mobile and licensed, holding a valid Class B driver’s license and a willingness to travel regularly to our various systems across the region.
