Are you a passionate Chemical, Environmental Engineer, or Biotechnologist eager to make a real impact in sustainability? The CALAGUA Research Unit (UV-UPV) is offering an exciting Predoctoral Researcher (PhD) position to work on cutting-edge resource recovery from wastewater using microalgae-methanotrophs co-cultures!

• Innovative Research: Be part of the BIOMATE project, transforming wastewater into biofertilizers and biostimulants through advanced bioprocesses.
• Hands-On Experience: Design, build, and operate lab-scale bioreactors, optimize processes, and contribute to high-impact publications.
• Collaborative Environment: Work alongside experts at the University of Valencia and Polytechnic University of Valencia in a dynamic, interdisciplinary team.

✅ Master’s degree in Chemical/Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, or related fields. ✅ Experience with microbial cultures, wastewater treatment, or bioprocess optimization. ✅ Strong English communication skills and a drive for scientific discovery.

📍 Location: Valencia, Spain (UV & UPV campuses) 📅 Start Date: December 2025 ⏳ Duration: 3 years 💰 Salary: ~€1,659/month (gross)
