Crevel Europe is a global importer & wholesale supplier of Mexican and American products in Europe. We hold a portfolio of more than 1400 products from mainstream and independent brands and serve clients in 33 European countries. We aim to support food service and retail businesses and provide access to top-quality authentic Mexican and American products in the European market at the best price and become the benchmark for international food distribution in Europe. We are looking for a compliance specialist within the food and beverage sector.

Tasks

• Assess compliance of potential products to be added to the portfolio according to EU regulations. 
• Ensure compliance of labelling standards and EU regulations. 
• Coordinate with purchase department and suppliers to obtain the necessary information to conduct compliance assessments of products.
• Help and support sales team and customer with compliance questions or concerns.
• Define food safety and compliance processes within the company.
• Interact with food laboratories when needed.
• Analyze food safety data and trends to proactively improve food safety performance and compliance.
• Ensure and coordinate with other data teams the existence of necessary data and product attributes exists within the company.
• Resolve and manage communications with food safety agencies and potential onsite visits.

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in food engineering or technology.
• Professional experience with EU food regulation, preferably with imported products.
• Experience with EU food labelling requirements desired.
• Fluent English and Spanish skills, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Basic knowledge of customs.
• An analytical and solution-oriented way of working
• Independent work, initiative and strong communication skills.
