The Nanobioengineering Group at IBEC is seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Technician to support research activities for the "Bioengineering for Personalized Pediatric Oncology" project, part of the VISION project (Advanced Personalized Bioengineered Models for Studies of Metastasis in Developmental Cancers).

Main Tasks and ResponsibilitiesMaintain mammalian cell cultures and manage cell stocks.Organize and maintain stocks of reagents and aliquots.Fabricate and validate PDMS devices.Assist researchers with experiments such as qRT-PCR, microscopy, and Western blotting.Organize and prepare experimental data for the Principal Investigator.Manage project-related emails and communications.Participate in seminars and team meetings as required.Essential RequirementsDegree or Master's in Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.Proven experience in culturing and maintaining mammalian cell lines.Proficiency in molecular biology techniques (qRT-PCR, microscopy, Western blotting).Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.Strong time-management skills.High proficiency in English.Preferred QualificationsExperience in microfabrication, device fabrication, or cleanroom work.Expertise in confocal microscopy and imaging.Knowledge of histological techniques.We OfferOne position available.Start date: March-April 2025.Full-time 6-month contract with measures to support work-life balance (e.g., flexible hours, paid holidays).Opportunities for professional development and interdisciplinary research in an international environment.Support for visa processes and relocation to Barcelona.How to ApplySubmit your application via the IBEC careers site: / before January 30th.
