Sanofi is seeking an experienced technology leader for the new role of Solution Architect, Global Functions. This role will be a peer to the Digital Architects within Global Functions, Architecture Center of Excellence, with primary responsibility for architecting solutions that support Global Functions and Business Operations Organization. The successful candidate will design and architect enterprise solutions across core corporate functions, while leading digital transformation initiatives that support systems and platform architecture across various Global Functions domains. This role demands a thought leader who demonstrates strategic visionary thinking, establishes architecture best practices, and delivers transformational results. This role will collaborate closely with the Digital Product Lines leads from Digital Delivery and Operations Organization, Product Owners and SMEs to deliver critical Architecture decisions that enable technology transformation in alignment with strategic Architectural standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, evaluate Functional and Technical requirements for Global Functions solutions spanning various business processes and deliver Architecture blueprints, models and documentation demonstrating end-to-end solution designs. Ensure that solutions are scalable, efficient, aligned with modern architectural practices and effectively integrated.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders from Digital Delivery and Business Operations Organization to identify key Architectural Design problem statements and deliver Architecture solutions and key decisions, documented through the Architecture Decision Record ADR. Contribute to application rationalization, platform strategy, application governance, technical debt and automation debt reduction.
- Partner with Centers of Excellence (CoEs), DD&O Digital Delivery & Operations functions, Digital Products teams to ensure successful implementation and alignment with overall Architecture CoE strategies ensuring a cohesive and integrated system landscape that supports global and localized needs.
- Stay up to date about emerging Digital trends and technologies in Architecture practices, solution engineering, Data, AI, GenAI and Agentic AI translating market and industry trends into actionable architectural opportunities. Apply innovative approaches to enhance system capabilities and drive continuous improvement.
Experience:
- Solid experience in Architecting solutions in Global/Corporate Functions business domains.
- Demonstrated technical and functional proficiency in tools, systems and platforms across domains encompassing HR, Finance, Procurement, Supply chain, Legal, compliance, risk, enabling technical execution in Digital Transformation initiatives.
- Proven track record Architecting and designing scalable solutions for Global/Corporate Functions.
- Leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams through complex global technology initiatives delivering cohesive enterprise solutions that support business operations.
- Ability to anticipate business needs and manage technical debt while delivering Architecturally sound decisions for the Global Functions Architecture strategic roadmap.
- Focus on innovation with ability to Architect solutions with AI agents, rationalization and tech debt reduction.
- Knowledge of proven patterns in Architecture designs such as event-driven, API-first, domain-driven design, skills in cross-functional integration, technology breadth in cloud platforms, SaaS ecosystems and integration platforms.
- Systems thinking for architecting complex system interactions, problem-solving, decision-making, strategic orientation and business acumen, achieving outcomes without authority to deliver enterprise-ready capabilities.
- Strong collaborative skills, particularly in working with diverse stakeholders across multiple regions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and strategies to diverse audiences.
- Experience in Agile product-oriented deliveries is advantageous.
- Experience working closely with Technology leaders and business stakeholders, to achieve integrated and effective solutions.
- Curiosity-driven approach for problem solving and passion for continuous learning.
- Degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Solution Architecture certifications are required. Advanced degrees preferred.

As AWS Cloud Engineer within our Cloud Engineering team, you'll design and build the cloud foundation that powers Sanofi's most critical solutions. Our Cloud Engineering team is made up of passionate cloud experts who own the AWS Landing Zone and its foundational services. We work hand-in-hand with infrastructure and application teams, supporting cloud migration journeys and helping build cloud-native solutions. It's a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where your ideas shape how a global biopharma company harnesses the power of the cloud.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and build cloud foundations — Own the AWS Landing Zone and core cloud services, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and ready to support business-critical workloads (400 AWS accounts).
- Develop reusable infrastructure components — Write and maintain modular infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, building a library of standardised, reusable modules that accelerate delivery across teams.
- Automate deployments end-to-end — Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate cloud provisioning, configuration management, and service deployment reliably and at scale.
- Embed security and compliance by design — Implement cloud security controls, access policies, and network safeguards to ensure every deployment meets Sanofi's standards and regulatory requirements.
- Keep the platform visible and reliable — Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions so teams have full visibility into platform health and can respond quickly when issues arise.
- Contribute to cloud migration initiatives — Guide the migration of on-premises workloads to AWS, minimizing disruption while applying cloud architecture best practices throughout.
- Enable and uplift cloud capability — Act as a trusted technical advisor for engineering teams, sharing knowledge on cloud patterns, best practices, and tools to raise the bar across the organisation.
- Cloud expertise — Deep, hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture, with a strong ability to design scalable and resilient solutions.
- Infrastructure as code mindset — Strong proficiency in Terraform (including module development), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred), and automation tooling such as Ansible.
