Reporting into the Global Events & Branding Director, the Global Events & Branding Senior Manager is accountable for the planning and execution of a set of pre-defined Global events addressed to external stakeholders defined as scientific meetings, congresses, and trade shows, in which Almirall has decided to participate, or chosen to organize. Furthermore, the role includes the responsibility for staging Global internal events and corporate strategic meetings as well as the coordination of internal- external stakeholders in all corporate / brand events under his / her responsibility. Frequent interaction with Senior Leaders in Almirall is also part of the expectations for this role. As the Global Events & Branding Senior Manager, the role will be responsible for autonomously leading events with a budget ranging from €400K to €600K. Additionally, he/she will manage budget allocations and negotiate with vendors.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Directly report to the Global Events & Branding Director, playing a key role in leading the planning and execution of designated Global and Key Strategic events for Almirall for which she/he is responsible.
- Overall responsibility for the planning and execution of defined external and internal Events and meetings for the events of which she/he is responsible.
- Ensure planning, design, execution, and follow-up of all the projects within his/her responsibility to the highest of quality standards with the aim to continuously improve and raise the bar of customer experience and satisfaction.
- Act as the steward of our long-term identity vision at Global Events ensuring consistent and professional brand representation across events. Implementation of the brands strategy at events, following Almirall Global Events Strategy guidelines
- Ensure the highest standards of management of top tier of medical experts, key opinion leaders or special guests involved in events under his/her responsibility.
- Ensure the highest standard of management of main dermatology Congress’ organizers, their Leadership team and medical societies involved in events under his/her responsibility.
- Vendor and supplier selection in collaboration with Global Procurement, close vendor management and responsibility for the continuous review of vendors' performance to cover any areas for improvement.
- Coordinating branding agencies, digital solutions for events vendors, audio-visual equipment vendors, venues and Congress centres management, logistics agencies, caterers, stand designers and other external stakeholders involved in events under his/her responsibility.
- Work closely with the core/brand team to contribute to the planning of business objectives for each event under his/her scope of responsibility, collaborating with the Global Commercial Operations (market companies) and Global Marketing teams to align on sales objectives and marketing messages.
- Detailed budget planning and close budget control and follow-up to ensure strict cost control.
- Conduct detailed analysis and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), assessing events against return on investment (ROI) and making improvement suggestions
- Lead comprehensive post-event reporting & CRM integration for all congresses and standalone meetings under her / his scope culminating in comprehensive reports for the Global Events & Branding Director and relevant event stakeholders.This includes:
- Designing and executing structured post-event surveys targeting both internal stakeholders and external participants (e.g., HCPs, KOLs). Leveraging CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva) to:
- Track attendee engagement before, during, and after the event.
- Analyze behavioral data (e.g., booth visits, session attendance, content downloads) to assess interest and tailor follow-up strategies.
- Cross-reference CRM data with event KPIs to evaluate ROI and inform future targeting and segmentation strategies.
- Generating executive-ready reports that synthesize business objectives, budget performance, and CRM-derived insights to support strategic decision-making. Ensuring that learnings are systematically captured and shared across teams to continuously elevate event effectiveness and customer experience.
- Degree in Advertising, Communication, Public Relations, Business or similar.
- Proven experience in managing successful global stand-alone and third-party events is a must.
- Proven experience (+7 years) as an Events Manager or in a similar role, demonstrating successful planning and execution of global events with up to 800 participants, including developing event strategies, plans and concepts and managing event logistics.
- In-depth understanding of brand strategy, business specificities and its implementation at events.
- Solid budget management experience.
- Demonstrated success in self-managing priorities and multitasking projects.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, spoken and written.
- Mastering additional languages is an advantage.
- Team player with sound decision making skills
- Ability to work successfully in a cross functional team in a multicultural environment
- Multiple suppliers and stakeholders' management.
- Project management abilities involving multiple stakeholders, internal and external.
