This position is aimed at highly qualified researchers with anestablished international track recordwho wish to consolidate their academic careers and develop their own line of independent research within a collaborative environment.Research FocusOur group explores the design and evaluation ofadvanced architectures, protocols, and distributed data processing techniquesacross cloud–edge–IoT ecosystems.

Key areas include:Scalable edge computingtechniques for IoT networks.Distributed and data-intensive systemsfor real-time processing.Architectures and interoperability protocolsfor heterogeneous IoT–cloud–edge integration.Applied research insmart learning environments, education spaces, and other domains where technology can serve social good .

Role & OpportunitiesThe Ramón y Cajal researcher will play a central role in shaping the future of the group by:Developing and leading an independent research agendain line with our broader focus on cloud and edge computing.Taking aleadership role in competitive grant applications(national and European).

Establishing and strengtheninginternational collaborations and networks .

Publishing in top-tier conferences and journals.Mentoring and supervising junior researchers, PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows .

Bringing a vision for how cloud and edge computing can addressscientific, industrial, and social challenges .

Candidate ProfilePhD inComputer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline .

Strong internationalresearch track recordwith high-impact publications.Demonstratedindependence in researchand potential to attract competitive funding.Expertise indistributed systems, cloud computing, edge computing, and IoT .

Experience in leading or coordinating research projects is highly valued.Excellent communication skills and capacity forinternational collaboration .
