The position is linked to theJuan de la Cierva postdoctoral fellowship , designed for researchers who have recently obtained their PhD and are ready to take the next step toward academic independence.What You'll Work OnYou will join an active research group working on:Next-generation edge computing techniquesfor IoT networks.Distributed data processingand optimization across cloud–edge infrastructures.Architectures and protocolsfor seamless IoT–edge–cloud integration.Real-world applications insmart learning environments, education spaces, and other IoT domains .

Most of our projects are designed with asocial aid perspective , aiming to leverage technology foreducation, inclusivity, and community benefit .

This gives our research both scientific depth and tangible impact.Beyond research, you will play a key role in:Shaping future projectsby contributing to grant proposals (national and European).

Publishing in top-tier international journals and conferences.Exploring collaborations withindustry and academic partners .

Mentoring MSc and PhD students and co-creating new research directions.What We're Looking ForA PhD inComputer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field(meeting Juan de la Cierva eligibility requirements).

Strong background incomputer engineering, distributed systems, edge computing, or cloud computing .

Experience with IoT platforms, virtualization/containerization, or large-scale data processing is highly valued.A track record ofpublications in recognized venues .

Motivation to grow towardindependent research leadership .
