The Junior Lab Technician will join the Fab Lab team and help continue fostering creativity and hands-on learning through analog and digital fabrication.

Your role as a Lab Technician will involve
You will play a key role in the daily operations of the Fab Lab, assisting students and faculty with their projects, ensuring the lab runs smoothly, and contributing to design and fabrication initiatives. Your main responsibilities will include
- Supporting the management of the Fab Lab, working alongside the Senior Lab Technician on equipment maintenance, material and consumable management, keeping the space organized and clean, budgeting, and warehouse management.
- Assisting and supervising students and faculty, guiding them in the proper use of machines and tools.
- Participating in academic and collaborative projects, applying knowledge in both digital and analog design and fabrication.
- Organizing and leading workshops, helping the school community develop new skills.
- Implementing and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and occupational risk prevention, and maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
- Experience in digital fabrication, including techniques such as laser cutting, 3D printing (FDM, LDM, SLA), CNC milling, vinyl cutting, robotic arms, and more.
- Knowledge and experience in woodworking, including the use of tools and machines.
- Skills in digital design, with experience in 2D and 3D software such as AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop etc.
- Education in digital fabrication, model-making, design, or architecture will be positively valued.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, essential for working in our multicultural environment.
- A team-oriented mindset, eagerness to learn, and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
