Position: Spanish-Language Video Podcast Editor - Padel Sports Podcast

Location Ideally Madrid or Spanish-based, working with a production company remotely: working with UK-based team, Message Heard. Option for fully remote position.

Message Heard Media has been engaged to launch a weekly Spanish-language magazine show on YouTube, hosted by the most recognised voices in Padel.

We’re looking for a Spanish-speaking editor to own post-production for a weekly video podcast. You’ll have two brilliant hosts, a YouTube channel with 836K subscribers ready to go, and recordings with the biggest names in the sport.

Role Details

We are seeking a highly skilled Video Podcast Editor & Mixer to take ownership of the post-production process. You will be responsible for transforming raw footage into a polished, high-standard weekly magazine show (roughly 25–35 minutes) and creating high-impact short-form content for social discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

- End-to-End Editing: Take all raw footage (typically recorded via remote platforms like Riverside) and complete the edit from start to finish.
- Audio Post-Production: Professional-level editing and mixing of dialogue, ensuring clean audio and seamless integration of music.
- Social Content Creation: Cutting 3–4 native clips per episode for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok (vertical, subtitled, with attention-grabbing hooks).
- Multi-Platform Delivery: Packaging and preparing the final show for both YouTube and podcast distribution platforms.
- Assisting in the sourcing of online and PR content which can be used within the video edits.

What We're Looking For
Good availability is required, as this is likely to be full-time work.

Specifically:

- Native or fluent Spanish speaker, based in or around Madrid.
- 3+ years of experience editing video content and social media snippets.
- Expert proficiency in Premiere Pro or similar professional editing tools.
- A strong understanding of and experience working on remote video podcasts.
- Keen interest and experience in creating attention-grabbing content for social media.
- Ideally lives in the sport or lifestyle world and gets the culture of padel. A genuine interest in sports podcasts and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced tournament calendar.
- Extreme attention to detail and the ability to work independently to meet weekly deadlines.
- Self-sufficient — this person doesn’t wait for instructions, they drive the show.

Dates We are looking for someone who is available to start asap.

This is an approx. 2 month contract with huge potential for extension.
