Role Overview
Roibos is seeking a Director of Sales and Distribution, Europe to lead our commercial expansion and strengthen our footprint across the region. This senior role goes beyond sales execution: the role will be instrumental in shaping and implementing Roibos’ distribution strategy in Europe, acting as both a growth driver and a brand ambassador. Working closely with the Chief Distribution Officer and the VP Product, he or she will represent Roibos at the highest industry levels and ensure our marketplace model is positioned as the preferred solution for distributors in the region.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership: Define, adapt, and execute Roibos’ commercial strategy in Europe in alignment with global objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and market penetration.
• Client Acquisition & Growth: Drive new business through proactive hunting, while consolidating and expanding existing relationships to maximize client potential.
• Regional Brand Ambassador: Represent Roibos across the European travel ecosystem, building strong commercial and personal relationships with decision-makers, speaking at events, and promoting Roibos’ value proposition.
• Partnership Development: Negotiate commercial and financial terms with distribution partners, unlocking longterm, mutually beneficial agreements.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Technology, and Operations to ensure clients in the region benefit from seamless onboarding, superior connectivity, and best-in-class service.
• Onboarding & Implementation Oversight: Supervise the end-to-end client onboarding process in the region, from acquisition to go-live, ensuring deadlines and standards are met.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and client feedback to refine the strategy and identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
• Team Building (future scope): As business scales, take a leadership role in building and mentoring a regional sales team.
Requirements
• Extensive experience in B2B travel distribution, ideally with exposure to marketplaces, bedbanks, or travel technology providers.
• Proven track record in driving commercial growth and managing senior client relationships at executive level.
• Strong strategic mindset: ability to balance short-term sales targets with long-term regional growth strategy.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and comfortable in a fast-scaling environment.
• Fluent in English (additional languages are an asset).
• Ability to travel extensively within Europe and internationally.
