Position Overview:

The Student Coordinator plays a crucial role in guaranteeing the quality of the International Programme and ensuring that the students have a satisfactory and high-quality experience that will be shared by the families of the students, school, and local communities.

Main responsibilities:

• Recruiting host families and visiting prospective hosts to determine their suitability.
• Work closely with students, families, host families and schools and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Regularly provide feedback to parents/guardians of international students on academic progress and day-to-day experiences.
• Promote and facilitate intercultural inclusion and understanding across a range of channels.
• Develop and provide an orientation program for all new international students, as required.
• Arrange outings and events for international students.
• Planning, preparing and delivering lessons.
• Helping pupils improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in individual and group sessions.
• Checking and assessing students’ work, and providing feedback.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

Essential:

• Knowledge of international education services or international student background. 
• Bachelor's degree related to the job position.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish and excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Eager to learn, adaptable to change and excellent teamwork skills.
• Problem-solving, decision-making and excellent organisational skills.
• Strong desire to work in a multicultural environment.
• Commitment to a long-term position.

Desirable:

• Experience in the international education industry.
• Language proficiency in Italian.
