About The Role
We’re looking for a motivated, tech-savvy person to join our Customer Success team. As a Junior Client Solutions Specialist, you’ll help new customers get started with Confluent’s platform, solve problems, and ensure they’re getting real value from our product. You don’t need to be an expert in everything yet — we’ll support you with training and mentorship to grow fast in this role.
What You Will Do
- Join our 12-month rotational program designed to help you build the foundation for a career in customer success, solutions engineering, or technical consulting. You’ll gain exposure to both pre-sales and post-sales roles, working directly with global customers and cutting-edge data streaming technologies.
- In your first year, you will:
- Rotate across pre- and post-sales teams to discover your strengths and interests
- Help customers onboard, adopt, and grow with Confluent’s technology
- Learn how to troubleshoot and solve real-world technical challenges
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and business teams across Europe
- Work closely with mentors and receive structured training (including Apache Kafka)
- By the end of the program, you’ll move into a permanent role within the team that best matches your skills and career goals.
- A genuine curiosity for tech, data, and how software solves real customer problems
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in English (our business language)
- A collaborative, customer-first mindset
- Some academic or hands-on exposure to technical concepts (e.g., computer science, cloud, scripting, APIs, systems, etc.) — but we don’t expect you to be an expert
- A passion for learning new tools (we’ll teach you Kafka, cloud platforms, and more!)
- Knowledge of Python, Java, or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- You’ve completed a technical degree (or are transitioning from another STEM field)
- You’ve worked on a tech project, internship, or helped others troubleshoot solutions
- You speak additional European languages
- You’re excited by customer success, engineering, or consulting but not 100% sure where to start — this rotation is designed to help you figure it out
