Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Graduate degree in Bioinformatics or closely related fields
- Master in Bioinformatics or closely related fields, particularly Genomics or Computational Biology.
- Fluency in Catalan/Spanish, English (business level)
Required:
- Demonstrable knowledge in the processing of RNAseq and scRNAseq data
- Demonstrable skills in standard bioinformatics techniques and data analysis
- Good knowledge of Python coding
- Good knowledge of AI tools for classification (NN, RF, XGBoost)
- Basic statistics
- The selected candidate will be responsible for the processing of single-cell RNA-seq data following pipelines developed by the group, as well as for implementing and further developing a novel artificial intelligence–based patient classification approach derived from single-cell RNA-seq experiments in breast cancer.
- The candidate may be required to contribute to research support activities related to the analysis and prediction of missense variants in proteins, depending on the priorities of the group’s research
- The candidate will contribute to the proper maintenance and effective operation of the group’s computational infrastructure
- Full-time position: 37,5h/week.
- Starting date: As soon as possible.
- Gross annual salary: 23.393,80 euros (Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
