Are you a qualified English teacher looking to relocate to Madrid and expand your EFL teaching experience?

We’re currently interviewing for full-time and part-time positions starting in June, July, or later, with contracts continuing through summer and the 2025–2026 academic year.

We welcome native and native-like English speakers, including first-time teachers eager to gain experience in a professional and supportive environment.

About Us

American Language Academy is one of the most prestigious English language centers in Spain. We have over 50 years’ experience teaching English to some of the biggest companies in Europe, as well as students from all over the world.

About The Classes

The majority of our students are adult professionals. Class sizes are small and materials are provided.

Most of our classes are HyFlex® (online through Zoom and face-to-face students in the same class.)

Level Of Qualifications Required

• 🇺🇸 🇨🇦 🇬🇧 🇮🇪 Native English speakers, preferably from the U.S., Canada, UK, or Ireland, or
• Native-like speaker who completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at a university in an English-speaking country (e.g. USA, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand), or
• Native-like speaker who lived and studied or worked in an English-speaking country for at least 3 consecutive years, using English as their primary language of communication.
• TEFL/TESOL/CELTA
• 1-year teaching experience (new teacher positions will be equally considered for entry positions)
• Bachelor's Degree
• Teachers should be comfortable using technology
  
  

Salary And Benefits

Starting at 1200€ month (net) + 200€ monthly incentives (Full-time)

Average full-time 26.5 teaching hours/week
