Position: Indirect Procurement Manager - Tail Spend

Role Overview:
Join a leading global technology firm operating in the dynamic eCommerce sector. With a spend ranging from €30M to €40M across over 2000 suppliers, you will be managing a very complex spend category of low-value, high-volume contracts. As the Indirect Procurement Manager your job will be to implement appropriate strategies for the tail spend of indirects to reduce the number of suppliers, identify cross-business synergies and ultimately reduce cost and deliver more efficient purchasing processes for low-value contracts.
You will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing a crucial segment of the global procurement strategy. This is a brand-new role, offering the opportunity to build a team from scratch and implement frameworks to manage tail spend more effectively.
The role requires an individual with a great mind for problem-solving, data analytics, supplier management, and establishing industry-leading strategies for cost savings and supplier rationalization.
Key Responsibilities for the Indirect Procurement Manager:
- Develop and implement strategies for managing transactional spend, focusing on reducing suppliers and optimizing synergies.
- Lead a team of two, providing guidance and support in achieving procurement objectives.
- Utilize your expertise in sourcing of indirect services, including RFP, strategy analysis, and category management.
- Leverage data-driven insights to dive deep into tailspend data, facilitating end-to-end project management from data analysis to execution.
- Support the wider procurement team in change management, strategy development, and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements of the Indirect Procurement Manager:
- Experience in sourcing of indirect services, with proficiency in strategic sourcing methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
- Strong project management skills, with a focus on data analysis and execution.
- Proven track record of driving cost improvements and EBITA enhancements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English (additional languages such as Spanish or French are advantageous).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- A proven track record in procurement, sourcing, or category management roles.
- Previous experience in managing tailspend or similar strategic initiatives is preferred.
