In this role, you will be presented with a diversity of data challenges that require innovative problem-solving skills. From sub-second mining equipment telemetry signals to monthly financial processes there are limitless options for creativity and efficiency.

You will take advantage of the PowerBI platform to integrate and present data across the enterprise enabling industrial operations, commodity traders and management to understand each layer of the business through rich data visualization.

We have an integrated BI/BA approach where we want our developers to understand reporting challenges with users and develop solutions.be

More specifically, you will be expected to:

• Create robust data/tabular models for diverse use cases (composite models, self-service models etc.) and specialties (Finance, Procurement etc.);
• Design and generate intelligent reports for end-user consumption;
• Enhance existing data models and reports to be scalable and in line with best practices;
• Transform and enrich data through standard Microsoft tools (T-SQL, Power Query M, DAX);
• Tell compelling stories with the Power BI canvas;
• Model transactional systems using industry best practices;
• Consult with internal stakeholders on all BI matters;
• Direct Proof of Concept and Pilot projects to enhance them;
• Integrate PowerApps into PowerBI to enable write back and process improvement.

Do you have what it takes?

• Completed studies in computer science, mathematics, statistics or equivalent;
• Knowledge of new and in-preview features such as Power BI Fabric;
• High ability to work as part of a team and liaise with different stakeholders;
• Organized, self-managed, willing to learn with a growth mindset;
• Significant technical abilities with proficient problem solving, analysis, and deductive reasoning capability;
• Capable of leading discovery sessions to translate business requirements into technical requirements;
• Good communication and planning skills to keep stakeholders updated with clear timelines and expectations;
• An inquisitive nature and interest in remaining up-to-date with innovative technologies;
• Knowledge of International Business Communication Standard visuals;
• Previous experience with SAP is highly regarded.

Language : As you will be part of a global team, you are expected to communicate fluently in English (verbal and written). Knowledge of other languages such as French, German, or Spanish is favorable but not mandatory.

Travel: Some occasional travelling may be required.

Location: This role will be based at our Malaga office.
