We develop, manufacture and distribute high-quality medical devices for cardiac and vascular surgery, with a strong focus on cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-operative monitoring and vascular grafting. Our portfolio includes a full line of perfusion products, endoscopic vessel harvesting systems and surgical stabilization solutions.

Job Summary

The Cardiovascular (TCV) team in Spain & Portugal is responsible for the commercialization, clinical support and strategic positioning of Terumo’s cardiovascular portfolio.

Our team works closely with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists and hospital leadership to deliver high-value clinical solutions that support improved patient outcomes and surgical efficiency.

This role plays a key part in driving clinical excellence and commercial growth in one of the most specialized and high-impact areas of healthcare. You will act as a trusted partner to clinicians, contributing not only to business development but also to improving patient outcomes.

Beyond traditional sales activities, the team has a strong clinical-commercial focus, supporting product education, clinical discussions and the development of long-term partnerships with cardiovascular surgery departments.

Job Responsibilities

The new Sales Representative will support the development of the Cardiovascular business across Spain and Portugal, working closely with cardiac surgery departments and perfusion teams. This position combines direct sales responsibilities with distributor management.

Direct Sales

  • Building and strengthening long-term partnerships with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists and key hospital stakeholders
    • Leading product presentations, demonstrations and high-value clinical discussions
    • Proactively identifying and driving new business opportunities to accelerate market growth
    • Supporting product adoption and contributing to market development strategies
    • Actively supporting clinical cases in operating room environments when required
    • Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams including marketing, clinical specialists and supply chain
Distributor Management

  • Driving the performance and development of the TCV distributor network across Spain & Portugal
    • Acting as a strategic partner to distributors, ensuring alignment with Terumo’s vision and commercial objectives
    • Ensuring excellence in product knowledge, clinical positioning and customer engagement
    • Monitoring distributor performance and implementing actions to continuously improve service levels and business outcomes
    • Providing ongoing support, addressing needs and ensuring effective communication
    • Conducting regular field visits, including joint visits with distributors to meet Key Opinion Leaders and end-users
You will also be actively involved in key industry events, congresses, and scientific meetings, representing Terumo as a partner of choice in cardiovascular innovation.

  • Strong commercial mindset with a clear motivation to grow the business
    • Experience in medical device sales or within hospital/clinical environments might be andvantage
    • High level of energy, proactivity and willingness to learn
    • Strong communication and influencing skills in clinical environments
    • Ability to build long-term relationships with clinicians and hospital stakeholders
    • Capability to navigate complex healthcare systems and decision-making processes
    • Comfortable working in operating rooms and clinical settings
    • Willingness to travel extensively across Spain and Portugal
    • Fluency in Spanish and English, Portuguese is a plus.
