Key Responsibilities
- Become the technical reference for microfluidics and integration of molecular assays is self-contained consumables
- Evolve microfluidic designs to meet the functional requirements of individual workflow steps and the overall performance of the assays
- Evolve designs to improve manufacturability and facilitate large scale manufacturing
- Support root cause analysis and problem-solving for issues arising during development, clinical trials, or post-launch
- Design and execute test plans for verification of fluidics performance (e.g., flow control, mixing efficiency, reagent delivery) according to well established guidelines and regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA, CE-IVD).
- Scientific coaching and mentoring of team members to ensure continuous development, sharing knowledge and best practices Position Requirements

- PhD in Physics, Biomedical engineering, Materials Science, or any other relevant technical or scientific disciplines.
- Scientific curiosity, analytical mindset, wish and ability to solve problems, innovate and introduce improvements aimed at developing best-in-class products.
- Significant research and development experience in diagnostics or molecular assays within industry or academia with a focus on some of the following: development of IVD Point-of-Care consumables, especially for DNA/RNA extraction; multiplex Real-Time PCR, immunoassays, hematology or clinical chemistry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a track record of tailoring communication to the target audience. Experience of external stakeholder management and/or international customer partnering is highly desirable.
- Proven leadership experience in medium to high complexity environments ideally within product development. Excellent abilities in nurturing and coaching team members to support personal development and growth.
- Desirable: proven knowledge of IVD regulations, especially in processes such as design control.

Join Deutsche Bank Global Internal Audit Team as a VP in the Validations team in Madrid. You will handle validations of Significant Findings across the team, for completion on time, on quality, and on budget.
