THE OPPORTUNITY

The Head of Direct Procurement - will lead the development and execution of global procurement strategies across the organization's entire portfolio – with a specific focus on packaging. This high-visibility role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact during a period of transformational change, working closely with senior leadership to shape the future direction of procurement within the organization and their directs categories globally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement innovative global procurement strategies for all packaging categories (including flexibles, rigid plastics and corrugate etc.)
• Lead a team of category managers across multiple regions, developing talent and building procurement capabilities
• Drive sustainable packaging initiatives in line with the company's environmental commitments
• Build strategic relationships with suppliers to drive innovation, quality improvements, and competitive advantage – whilst forging strategic partnerships
• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to optimize packaging design and specifications
• Implement state-of-the-art digital procurement tools and processes
• Identify and deliver significant cost savings while balancing quality, sustainability, and supply reliability
• Represent procurement in cross-functional transformation projects and senior leadership forums

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience

• Directs procurement experience is a must with experience in the packaging category
• Proven track record in leading procurement transformation initiatives
• Experience leading complex procurement projects within FMCG/Food & Beverage sector
• Strong background in developing and implementing category strategies at global scale
• Experience building and leading high-performing, international procurement teams would be an advantage

• Deep understanding of packaging technologies, sustainability trends, and market dynamics
• Proven ability to influence at senior levels and across different functions

• Fluent English required
• Additional European languages valuable
