What You’ll Do
System Setup
- Gain proficiency in GCS operation and workflows.
- Flash firmware and extract telemetry logs from UAVs post-flight.
- Set up and calibrate Ground Control Stations, including telemetry and video antennas.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to understand mission plans and requirements.
- Perform thorough pre-flight checklists with the safety pilot, ensuring all systems are operational.
- Develop and configure flight plans and mission parameters based on test or operational requirements in coordination with engineering and operations teams.
- Perform in-flight tuning of autopilot parameters (e.g., gain adjustments) to optimize UAV performance and stability during dynamic flight conditions.
- Analyze flight test areas and weather conditions to plan operations effectively.
- Provide position updates, flight intentions, and conflict resolution notifications to relevant airspace users or authorities.
- Participate in occasional site missions, lasting 5 to 15 days, primarily in Western Ukraine.
- Analyze recorded flight telemetry data to identify anomalies, validate performance, and generate reports for engineering and flight teams.
- Prepare detailed test and flight reports, including mission objectives, pre-flight preparations, telemetry data analysis, anomalies encountered, and corrective actions implemented.
- Ensure reports are clear, accurate, and actionable to support system improvements with R&D and compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Operate the UAV during missions, closely monitoring its behavior and performance.
- Operate and monitor multiple UAVs in real time using ground control station (GCS) software, ensuring proper flight coordination and situational awareness.
- Track telemetry, payload status, and mission-critical system data during flight to ensure operational success and safety.
- Support emergency operations alongside the safety pilot
- Conduct regular system tests to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Operate UAV launch mechanisms, such as catapults.
- Perform hands-on tasks, including equipment setup and maintenance.
What You’ll Need
