Great things are happening in the Europe and Australia (EUAU) region. Each day, our 2,500 plus colleagues bring their passion to our offices, manufacturing sites, R&D center, and commercial/distributor markets across Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. We are energized by over 150 years of bringing people together with the food they love. With beloved brands Old El Paso, Häagen-Dazs, Nature Valley, Betty Crocker, Fibre One, Latina Fresh and more, we are on a mission to become the undisputed growth leader in food for EUAU. In a world that’s ever-changing, we look to stay ahead and seek people who share our love of food and are hungry to shape the future.

Are you curious about how iconic brands are built, launched, and activated in real markets? Do you want to learn how marketing and category strategy come together to drive demand, shape portfolios, and deliver commercial impact? If you are looking for a hands-on internship where you can learn fast, contribute from day one, and gain real exposure to FMCG marketing, this opportunity is for you.

Company Description

We serve the world by making food people love. As one of the world’s leading food companies, General Mills believes that food should make us better.

We seek out the best talent, offer strong development opportunities, trust and support, and the chance to contribute to something meaningful. Choosing a career with General Mills means joining a company where you can make a real difference through innovation and purpose.

Your Role

As a Marketing Intern, you will be a key support to the Iberia Marketing team, actively contributing to the creation and execution of brand plans across the Iberia market.

This is not a “watch-and-learn” internship. You will be hands-on, exposed to real business decisions, and involved end-to-end in brand activation, innovation, and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

You will support the team in areas such as:

  • Brand Experience & Media Activation
    • Support the development and execution of ATL & BTL plans (media campaigns, influencers, partnerships, PR, events, sampling).
    • Collaborate with local agencies to ensure strong local adaptation and flawless execution.
    • Co-lead the social media strategy & planning
  • Innovation & New Product Development (NPD)
    • Contribute to the NPD pipeline by supporting project tracking, launch readiness, and cross-functional coordination.
    • Help identify key consumer and marketing implications for new launches.
  • Packaging & Brand Assets
    • Support packaging development and local adaptation.
    • Localize global and regional brand assets for Iberia across channels and touchpoints.
  • Budget & Performance Tracking
    • Assist in marketing budget tracking, purchase order creation and basic performance analysis to support decision-making.
What We’re Looking For

Must-haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (or in the final stage of studies)
  • Fluent English (Spanish is a plus)
  • Good command of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice-to-have mindset

  • Strong curiosity for brands, consumers, and marketing
  • Analytical, structured, and execution-oriented
  • Creative thinker with a growth mindset
  • Proactive, resilient, and results-driven
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Why This Internship Matters

This internship is designed to build future marketers. You’ll leave with:

  • Real business experience (not just tasks)
  • Exposure to global brands with local execution
  • A strong foundation for a future career in FMCG marketing
