Job Description: Supply Chain Director
The company is a leading CDMO with operations in Greece, Spain, Italy, France and Germany. Serving the health, beauty, and pharmaceutical sectors, the company is in a strategic growth phase, with the ambition to double in size and revenue over the coming years.
Position Summary
The Supply Chain Director will lead the strategic and operational direction of the supply chain functions across its European network. This role is accountable for driving supply chain excellence, ensuring capacity readiness for new product introductions, and enabling sustainable business growth.
The individual will provide innovative solutions, develop long-term capacity and operational plans, and partner with leadership to create a mature, predictable supply chain infrastructure that supports high-growth objectives. Possible growth into BU Head position.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the supply chain strategy in alignment with corporate growth targets, focusing on scalability, agility, and improved predictability.
- Lead a robust capacity planning and long-term roadmap to support project intake and new product launches.
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring optimal inventory management, cost efficiency, and service performance across multiple sites.
- Propose and evaluate new operational models and process improvements, introducing modern capabilities and industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with Business Unit supply chain teams to align operational execution with commercial requirements.
- Mentor and develop three direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Manage change initiatives, ensuring stakeholder engagement and adoption of new processes and systems.
- Monitor and report supply chain performance metrics to the COO, providing clear recommendations to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Coordinate supply chain work between countries and standardising processes to increase efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Significant experience in senior supply chain leadership roles within pharmaceutical, CDMO, or complex manufacturing industries.
- Proven track record in capacity planning, multi-site operations management, and supply chain transformation.
- Strong strategic thinking skills complemented by hands-on operational leadership.
- Effective influencer with strong stakeholder management capabilities in an international context.
- Demonstrated ability to introduce innovative solutions and deliver measurable improvements in supply chain performance.
Location & Mobility
- Role based in Madrid or Athens. Willingness to travel extensively during the first three months (approx. 40%), followed by scheduled travel of approximately 25%.
