Role overview:
UPC Manresa is currently seeking a Project Manager to lead the coordination and management of EU R&D Projects. In this role, the candidate will provide support to the coordinator to manage the projects.
Responsibilities:
● Coordinate two Granted EU Projects MERIT and WIDCON, leading consortium meetings and General Assemblies.
● Act as the main point of contact for project partners, oversee deliverables, and supervise project budgets and justifications before the European Commission.
● Coordinate and manage the projects, overseeing deliverables, timelines, and justification reports.
● Convene the UPC-led meeting and draft its minutes
● Organize project meetings and prepare related documentation
● Continuously track deliverables, milestones, KPIs, risks and progress reports
● Arrange and manage project-related travel
● Maintain the official document repository (Teams, intranet, project website…)
● Coordinate with UPC services on Open Access, dissemination, HR hiring, procurement, Research, Development and Innovation Area, etc.
● Be the main interlocutor with the Project Officer on technical issues
● Provide support in the management of scholarships awarded within the projects
● Attend project meetings about the communication and dissemination
Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree or higher.
● Experience in applying and managing international, national, and regional projects.
● Knowledge of European, national, and regional R&D funding programs.
● EU grant-lifecycle expertise
● C1 level of English.
● Experience in team coordination.
● Strong communication skills.
● Availability for national and international travel.
● Proficiency in Catalan.
Preferred qualifications:
● Previous experience in a technological center or university, understanding administrative processes.
● Negotiation of consortium-level finance and PO liaison
● Master's degree or Ph.D.
● Financial-accounting expertise, EC cost rules, Participant-Portal or audit experience
● Familiarity with Grant Agreement, Consortium Agreement and internal distribution agreements; ability to maintain compliant digital & physical archives.
