Overview

The Kitchen Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow, proper product management, and timely preparation of ingredients and dishes. In addition to hands-on support, this role plays a key part in the tactical supervision and coordination of kitchen activities, helping ensure execution aligns with operational needs and timelines.

This position works closely with Chefs and Senior Innovation Chefs, acting as a reliable operational partner to maintain organization, efficiency, and high standards across all kitchen processes, including sample management when required.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows
  • Assist in food preparation and basic cooking tasks as required
  • Provide day-to-day coordination of kitchen activities, helping prioritize tasks and maintain execution timelines
  • Support tactical supervision of kitchen processes, ensuring readiness of ingredients, tools, and workstations
  • Act as a key point of support for Chefs and Senior Innovation Chefs to enable seamless execution
  • Manage and organize kitchen products, ingredients, and inventory
  • Support the coordination of orders, ensuring timely availability of ingredients
  • Help monitor preparation timelines to ensure efficiency and consistency
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards across the kitchen
  • Assist with storage, conservation, and proper handling of food products
  • Support sample management, including preparation, storage, tracking, and organization
  • Proactively identify and resolve minor operational gaps to keep the kitchen running smoothly

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of food handling and hygiene standards
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and supportive mindset
  • Strong communication skills to work closely with chefs and cross-functional teams
