The Secretariat for Scientific Governance and Policy Unit (SGPC) is responsible for the institution’s knowledge management and the coordination of a wide range of strategic, scientific and institutional activities, including the implementation of the institutional strategic plan, institutional evaluations, research performance monitoring through key performance indicators (KPIs), and support for the development and follow-up of the institutional structure.
In this hybrid position, the selected candidate will work from within the HUVH Library to manage and coordinate all VHIR‑related activities, ensuring dedicated support for VHIR researchers in areas such as information retrieval, scientific publishing, Open Access, Open Science, research data management and researcher training. The role will act as a strategic link between the Library and VHIR, contributing to the optimisation, visibility and alignment of information services across the campus.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- User support and training: Provide personalised support to researchers and library users, and design and deliver training on information resources, bibliographic tools, Open Access, ORCID, research data management and generative AI.
- Research information and publishing support: Advise researchers on bibliographic searches, publication strategies, journal selection, Open Access routes and funder requirements, and support the management and deposit of publications in the institutional repository (Scentia).
- Open Science and research support: Support the implementation of VHIR’s Open Science Policy and contribute to institutional and external initiatives related to Open Science, research assessment and responsible research.
- Digital resources and content management: Manage access to digital information resources and maintain relevant Library and Open Science content on the VHIR website and intranet, including information on transformative agreements and APCs.
- Research visibility and institutional initiatives: Coordinate the institutional ORCID campaign, promote VHIR scientific publications through social media and Altmetric tools, and collaborate on library, institutional and community-engagement initiatives.
Required:
- Degree in Information and Documentation Management or diploma/degree in Library and Information Science.
- Specific training in documentation and/or digital content management.
- English level B1 or higher.
- Catalan language proficiency at C1 level or equivalent.
Required:
- Experience in specialised bibliographic searching and management.
- Experience in user training and the development of teaching materials.
- Knowledge of Open Access publishing and open data management.
- Advanced computer skills (Office 365).
- Knowledge of AI tools and intellectual property aspects.
- Working hours: Full-time (37,5 hours per week).
- Starting date: As soon as possible.
- Gross annual salary: Remuneration will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.
