Mission

Reporting into the Strategic Alliances Senior Director, the Strategic Alliances Senior Manager is accountable for leading several Alliances with the goal of realizing the original value envisioned and striving to create additional value for the parties involved.


Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead the alliance management activities in the Strategic Alliances under responsibility (around 3 alliances) ensuring value creation and risk mitigation.
  • Plan and manage the operational aspects of alliances, including kick-offs, joint governance committees, ensure alliance effectiveness, appropriate communications, and coordination of activities.
  • Lead, align and influence large project teams to evaluate and resolve any business issue in an equitable and timely manner. Manage escalation process when necessary.
  • Lead certain renegotiation of contracts and ancillary agreements to maximize the value of the alliance.
  • Strategic Thinking: foster further Strategic Mindset and constant look for opportunities within the Strategic Alliances to untap value.
  • Foster relationship-building activities within and across organizations. Ensure appropriate contractual knowledge of the team and coordination of cross functional teams to facilitate the alignment between the different implicated areas.
  • Proactively track, monitor and communicate contract milestones, obligations, and any financial payments to stakeholders. Perform periodic alliance health checks.
  • Follow up and report Strategic Alliance intelligence proactively. Provide top management with periodical updates of the Alliance Portfolio to allow prioritization and decision making.
  • Being a lead member accountable of the relevant Product/Project Teams.
  • Proactivity and issues’ solver. Anticipation of potential issues and design risk mitigation plans.
  • Support Strategic Alliance Senior Director to provide top management with periodical updates of the Alliance Portfolio that allow prioritization and decision making.
  • Foster relationship-building activities within and across organizations.
  • Create systems to monitor and manage performance metrics/ KPIs across the alliance portfolio.
  • Support Alliance Senior Director on ensuring appropriate contractual knowledge of the teams and coordination of cross functional teams to facilitate the alignment between the different implicated areas.
  • Contractual Commitments follow up and ensuring delivering information on its occurrence to the key organization stakeholders of each alliance.
  • Meetings organization and minutes coordination, internally and with the partners.


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Business Administration or Law.


Experience

  • Professional experience of at least 5 years in positions within the Pharmaceutical Industry (in Alliance Management / Partners Management / Business Development / Project Management) or Strategic Consulting.
  • Experience in managing cross functional teams and multi-tasking projects.

  • Strategic thinking, commercial vision and drive. Results oriented.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams with a proactivity mindset.
  • Interpersonal skills to serve as an effective interface between external and internal teams.
  • Deep knowledge of the Strategic Products: commercial, scientific, market access, etc… to build and provide with holistic inputs that contribute to the team.
  • Understanding of contracts with partners to enable effective interactions with legal colleagues and rest of the teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
