We have over 50 specialist researchers and evaluators in our team in Belgium working closely with colleagues in other offices across Europe. Our specialist teams create the evidence required for decision making, and advise clients on international statistics, public opinion research, public policy design and evaluation, behavioural research, and political research. Policy research and evaluation is an expanding area of social research today. EU institutions have a long tradition and established guidelines on designing and delivering better evidence for policy making.

Verian Europe’s dedicated Policy research and evaluation practice already has a wide portfolio of studies covering areas such as disinformation and digital policy, consumer protection, youth policy, education and training, humanitarian aid, and migration. We are looking to grow our portfolio and our people.

We are looking for an intern, with interest in the design and effective delivery of policy research and evaluation projects for EU institutions. As an intern you will work closely with senior colleagues and you will be contributing to designing and delivering behavioural experiments, impact assessments or evaluation projects, as part of an ambitious and growing team and having real impact in key policy areas.

Your Profile

We are looking for a graduate with a curious and analytical mindset and who is interested in public policy research and evaluation.

You would need to:

• Have a university degree
• Be fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken – fluency in any other European language is an additional asset
• Have solid knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods
• Be used to working both as part of a team and on your own
• Show proactiveness and ownership of tasks
• Be used to multi-tasking and be detailed-oriented
• Be solution oriented
