Project Engineering Manager

Location: Spain (Barcelona / Terrassa)

The company is a global manufacturer of process technology, offering an extensive range of products from laboratory to production sized machines and complete plants. Their process equipment is used for wet and dry grinding, mixing, dispersing, de-aeration and classifying. Their technology is used across the world in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food sectors.

They are now looking for a Project Engineering Manager to work alongside a global workforce of Project Managers and Engineers and production sites, taking projects from Front end engineering through to completion and handover.

The Position

Team Management:

• Resource planning for all ongoing works to ensure the timely delivery of projects.
• Resolving resource issues with internal / external support.
• Develop internal policies and guidelines as well as ensuring compliance.
• Receive demands, analyze, forward internally and keep the team informed of the status of current activities.
• Monitor and evaluate the individual development (personal and professional) of the team members, give feedback and guidance regarding careers, as well as account for the administrative and technical management of the team.
  
  

Project Management, Client Interaction And Reporting

• Receive, interpret and implements the requirements from Sales Engineering team and Client.
• Customer facing as project point of contact after point of sale.
• Develop and manage project schedule with any recovery plans where needed.
• Management and reporting of project budget including coordination with procurement team.
• Managing team workload and output.
• Management of project tasks for the engineering team with resource planning.
• Management of inter-company interactions for design, installation and commissioning.
• Professional communication with all stake holders and directors.
  
  

The Requirements

Educated in an engineering field is preferred; Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering; or related field.

Project Management experience is essential in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical and/or Food sectors.

Chemical Industry process knowledge and experience.
