Our client is an industrial company (with high technological development and different Business Lines: Machinery, Software and Automation), strongly recognized in the Optical Machinery sector. With operations and clients in 23 countries and offices in Madrid (South) and China, after 10 years of exponential growth in the market (22 employees), the company is in the process of international expansion. Its Strategic Plan of growth includes hiring an International Sales Director (newly created role, that would be part of the Board of Directors), directly reporting to the CEO.


TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES


As a key role within the company, you will work alongside the CEO to lead and manage Sales Strategies globally to drive the company's growth and expansion in both domestic (approximately 10%) and international markets..


  • Identify and evaluate opportunities in different geographical regions internationally to achieve the company's growth objectives, while properly tracking the offers made.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and other key stakeholders in international markets. This role requires a highly relational approach.
  • Lead the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and proposal presentations to deal closure and account management, ensuring sales objectives are met.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments (e.g., Production) to ensure effective project execution.
  • Participate in trade fairs, conferences, industry events, and other networking activities to promote the brand, while also leading any necessary marketing actions.
  • Continuously analyze market performance and competition to identify new opportunities and enhance the company's competitive position.



REQUIREMENTS



  • Previous experience in International Sales, in a Manufacturing/Engineering environment (preferably in the Optical sector).
  • Languages: Bilingual proficiency in English is essential. Spanish-speaking is not mandatory but definitely a plus, as is proficiency in other languages (Italian, French, Portuguese, etc.) given the global scope of the sales role.
  • Willingness to travel internationally regularly (approximately 10-12 trips per year, around 30-40% of the time).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, requiring a combination of sales skills, market knowledge, and negotiation/influence abilities to establish strong, trustworthy relationships with potential and current clients worldwide, who are from different cultures and business contexts. Initiative, dynamism, passion, organizational skills (for offers and client follow-up), independence coupled with great collaborative ability, results orientation, and attention to detail are key. We seek a solid, pragmatic, driving, and versatile profile, with credibility and communication skills.

Offices located in the South of Madrid (Leganes). Attractive Salary Range (Approx 60,000 Basic depending on experience + Strong Variable).
