Nova is the global professional network that connects top talent with the companies that need it most. This time, we are partnering with one of our clients, a leading independent investment banking boutique in Spain, who is looking to hire an M&A Analyst to join their team in Madrid.
About the Company
Leading independent investment banking firm in Spain, founded by seasoned partners from top-tier US investment banks. For nearly two decades, they have established themselves as a benchmark in the Spanish mid-market, advising on complex Mergers & Acquisitions, LBOs, Capital Raising, and strategic transactions.
Their culture is built on a horizontal structure and direct partner involvement. Unlike larger banks, the founding partners—each with over 30 years of M&A experience—are deeply involved in the day-to-day execution of every deal. This is not a back-office role; this is a unique opportunity to accelerate your career.
About the Role
As an M&A Analyst, you will be a core member of the deals team from day one. You'll gain unparalleled exposure to the full transaction lifecycle, working side-by-side with associates and partners to deliver exceptional results for our clients. They are looking for a highly driven individual ready to take on significant responsibility and make a tangible impact.
What You'll Do
- Drive Deal Execution: Play a critical role in the origination and execution of live M&A transactions, from initial analysis to closing.
- Develop High-Impact Materials: Create and manage key transaction documents, including pitch books, financial presentations, and information memorandums.
- Build Complex Financial Models: Take ownership of building and managing sophisticated financial models for business valuation, LBOs, and other complex analyses.
- Conduct In-Depth Analysis: Perform exhaustive market research, competitor analysis, and identification of potential investment opportunities for clients.
- Support Senior Team: Collaborate directly with Associates and Partners, providing analytical support and contributing to the strategic direction of ongoing transactions.
What You'll Need
- An outstanding academic record in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 0 to 1 year of relevant full-time experience in M&A, Private Equity, or Transaction Services
- A highly analytical mindset with impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to delivering flawless work.
- A proactive, resilient, and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
- A genuine team player who thrives in a tight-knit, collaborative environment.
- Unwavering motivation for a long-term career in M&A and full commitment to the demands of the role, including working under pressure and extended hours.
Your compensation
- Highly competitive compensation package, including a base salary and a significant performance-based variable bonus.
- Unparalleled, direct exposure to senior partners and the full M&A deal lifecycle.
- A clear and accelerated career development path in a meritocratic, high-performance environment.
- The opportunity to build your career in a prestigious firm with a proven track record and a close, collaborative team culture.
Required (fluent)
