Job description:

The Joan Seoane Lab at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) is seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatician, focused on translational cancer research. Our group integrates molecular biology, genomics, and clinical data to understand tumor biology and develop precision medicine strategies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and integrate high-throughput sequencing data (Spatial Transcriptomics, WGS, RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, ATAC-seq, etc.).
• Develop and apply computational pipelines for genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic studies.
• Collaborate with wet-lab scientists and clinicians to design experiments and interpret results.
• Contribute to biomarker discovery and predictive model development.
• Support data visualization, reporting, and dissemination of findings in publications.
  
  

Requirements

• MSc/PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong programming skills.
• Experience with NGS data analysis and relevant bioinformatics tools.
• Familiarity with statistical modeling and machine learning is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Conditions:

• 📝Permanent contract.
