We are seeking a passionate Associate Director, Data Management to join our RDU IT Data & AI Team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with AstraZeneca Data Office, IT Business Partners, Data Capability Leads, and business and technical leadership to ensure that Alexion´s data is used effectively, strategically, and securely. Your focus will be on overseeing the development and management of mature data products, ensuring their ongoing value delivery and compliance. Accountabilities:

- Lead the vision, strategy, development, and ongoing management of Alexion´s Data Products and Data Marketplace.

- Ensure continuous compliance of Data Products with global data management policies and regulatory requirements.

- Establish and enforce data quality standards, frameworks, and metrics.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect requirements and maximize value.

- Support key data strategies such as Data Governance and Master Data Management.

- Drive alignment with AstraZeneca Enterprise teams for cohesive data architecture.

- Identify and mitigate risks related to data security and continuity.

- Monitor usage, performance, and KPIs of mature data products.

- Promote adoption of Data Products through training and support.

- Present plans, progress, and outcomes to senior management.

- Mentor a team of data management professionals.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, or related field

- Extensive experience (typically 7+ years) in Data Management, Data Products, Data Quality, and Metadata Management, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role

- Hands-on experience with DataOps platforms such as Collibra and cloud-based data integration technologies

- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences

- Knowledge of biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry data needs

- Certification in data management or related discipline preferred
