BARILLA IBERIA wants to recruit a Trade Marketing & Category Development Professional. The position is based in Barcelona. The individual will report to the Managing Director – Iberia.
Job Purpose
Contribute in achieving annual targets in terms of market share, NS/UNS and customer and channel profitability by defining and executing the most effective trade marketing plans (instore & e-commerce), assortment strategies, category management projects, promotions, in store presence and field sales strategy / tools.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for analysing the categories by channel, by clients and by products and have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Spanish retail landscape (offline & e-commerce).
- Define the assortment, merchandising, and promotional policies (by retailer and by category) and define how to activate the brands in the points of sales.
- Actively seek to drive Instore Sales Fundamentals and support KAM in his negotiations via strong CatMan strategies / best practices.
- Define the field sales strategy, plans & tools and act as the main point of contact for the field sales team (defining targets and measuring results).
- Develop and execute Barilla e-commerce strategy and collaborate with key customers / KAMs to drive overproportionate growth.
- Manage a budget in order to support the brands and secure no overspendings.
- Skills & competencies: You have been building a solid professional path with successful experiences in different functions (Marketing, Trade Marketing or Sales).
- You are recognized for your valuable contribution and your demonstration of leadership, creativity, and your ability to build strong and trustful work relationships.
- You have a good business acumen and a good understanding of the local market
- Rigorous and well-organized with a business-driven mindset - you have strong analytical skills and a high degree of intellectual curiosity.
- Language qualifications – Spanish and English (fluent) are mandatory.
- The role is based in Barcelona (Spain)
- Barilla supports hybrid working, as a mix of working remotely and from the office
- The expected starting date is ASAP
