ROLE SUMMARY:
King’s College Soto de Viñuelas, a highly regarded British international school in Madrid, is seeking to appoint a Physics Teacher to join the Secondary School team from August 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic educator to teach across the secondary age range (11–18) and contribute to both IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme teaching.
The successful candidate will inspire a love of Physics, uphold high academic standards, and play an active role in a strong, collaborative Science department within one of Spain’s leading international schools.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons in line with the British and IB curricula.
- Teach across Key Stages 3–5, including IGCSE and IB Diploma Physics.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress in accordance with curriculum and school expectations.
- Contribute to curriculum development, departmental initiatives, and the creation of high-quality teaching resources.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.
- Support the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities, enrichment programmes, or academic competitions.
- A degree in Physics (or a closely related subject) and a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching Physics at IGCSE and IB Diploma levels (or strong preparation to do so).
- A solid understanding of British and international curricula.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
- A collaborative, flexible, and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
- A genuine passion for inspiring students and supporting academic excellence.
