Are you a visionary leader with a passion for technology that can accelerate a company's growth? Then we are looking for you. As Group Director IT, you will be the catalyst for change, responsible for elevating our IT department and preparing it for the future. You will be the driving force behind projects that empower colleagues and guests with the right technology, so they can focus on the things that matter most. You will work closely with the company's leadership to implement the new overall technology strategy and processes.
This Is What You’re Going To Do
- Define the strategic direction for all technology projects, with a focus on modernizing our existing infrastructure.
- Inspire, coach, and lead a team of project managers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external technology partners to grow and innovate together.
- Take ownership of the multi-year investment plan and IT budget, ensuring all locations benefit from a robust and future-proof infrastructure.
- Oversee IT due diligence for new hotel and restaurant openings and manage large-scale replacement projects.
- Initiate and lead proof of concepts, turning successful pilots into company-wide rollouts.
- Partner with all departments to develop business cases for new projects and provide regular updates on project status and future developments to management.
- Analyze current systems in depth and implement optimizations across the organization.
You are a flexible team player with a positive mindset who does not shy away from challenges. You have a proven track record in managing projects, you fix root problems, and you embrace automation. Your place of work is our office in Barcelona, but frequent travel to our hotels, offices, and restaurants across Europe is a fixed part of your role.
- You have leadership and coaching skills gained in a similar position for at least 4 years, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- You are able to communicate effectively with colleagues and technology partners at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience with cybersecurity and are familiar with relevant frameworks and best practices.
- Excellent and fluent communication skills in English are required. Knowledge of Dutch, German, or Spanish is a plus.
- A competitive primary salary, commensurate with a leadership position.
- Excellent secondary employment conditions, including hotel benefits, an annual "in-house experience," and fixed employee rates.
- The opportunity to shape the technological future of a dynamic and growing company.
- A work environment where creativity, ambition, and collaboration are central.
With our shared passion for hospitality, our team creates one-of-a-kind hotels, restaurants, stores and spas in Europe's most inspiring neighbourhoods. It’s in our DNA to be creative, ambitious, surprising and to provide heartfelt service.
