TUI Cars is an important component of TUI's ancillaries strategy. For this topic with the associated system TUI Wheels, we are looking for a Solution Architect within Group IT in the Wheels, Insurance & Coupon team. As part of the team, the Solution Architect works closely with the system developers but also with internal interfaces of IT and the business. He/she is responsible for supporting and advising business partners in requirements analysis, process optimisation and the implementation of IT solutions both nationally and in a group-wide context.

Coordination and design of the architecture of the responsible tourism application in close cooperation with the development team.

• api design
• solution and database design
• data integration and performance management and scalability development
• identification of AWS techniques to be used in cooperation with AWS experts
• close involvement in all architecturally relevant decisions, especially API and DB schema changes

Elaboration and further development of end2end processes and functional requirements in close cooperation with the business as well as other interfaces within IT.

• technical conception of requirements for the core functionalities of TUI Wheels
• advising the business partners / teams on the technical feasibility of requirements requests
• definition of end2end processes in the trips environment in relation to Car Hire international

Ensuring ongoing operations by analysing faults and passing on ideas for solutions to the development team to eliminate errors.

Creation of technical documentation for system workflows, interfaces and processes.

Supporting the product owner in the development and prioritisation of user stories, taking into account various group-wide influences in an agile environment.

TO YOU

• Completed technical or business studies or comparable IT knowledge and experience, acquired while working.
• Experience in designing, setting up and further developing IT application landscapes, preferably in a tourism environment.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to work conceptually.
• Good ability to understand complex system architectures in an international context.
• Basic understanding of well-known IT technologies, standards and methods (e.g. AWS, APIgee, SOAP, REST, ...);
• Good knowledge of the TUI (legacy) system world desirable.
• Experience in the application of agile methods (e.g. Scrum and Kanban).
• Business fluent in English.
• Ability to work independently, conscientiously and to take on responsibility.
• Communication skills and conflict resolution skills.
• High level of problem-solving competence and pragmatic implementation skills.
• Strong customer and service orientation as well as social competence and ability to work in a team.
