Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Head of Marketing to lead the strategic launch and long-term success of the Omnipod brand in Spain. This pivotal role will drive all marketing initiatives, working closely with Sales, Market Access, and International Marketing to create customer-centric strategies that build awareness, engagement, and advocacy.

As the voice of the Spanish market, you’ll translate local insights into compelling campaigns, educational programs, and value propositions tailored to both healthcare professionals (HCPs) and people living with diabetes (PWD). Your leadership will shape how Omnipod is positioned, promoted, and perceived across the region.

Key duties will include the implementation and management of the local product strategy and core programmes aligned with the International marketing team, customer value propositions and messaging together with an understanding of key metrics plus ability to design compelling marketing plans and programs to drive improvement and ensure successful achievement of strategic growth targets.

The role will also be expected to identify medical education and clinical evidence opportunities for the brand across the region as well as coordinate with the market access team on any HEOR gaps. This position will support the sales teams in the delivery of effective marketing resources.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a successful launch strategy for Omnipod in Spain, followed by a long-term growth roadmap.
  • Align closely with the International Marketing team to localize core brand strategies and messaging.
  • Build insights, knowledge and understanding of the health care system and market dynamics (eg. Clinical tends) to anticipate key needs of the market.
  • Build insights and knowledge of the customer and market and communicates this internally. Creates and drives successful customer orientated marketing plans.
  • Lead and delivers overall brand management for the region. This includes a mix of marketing programs in order to drive key brand performance metrics such as sales, awareness and equity.
  • Supporting the International Digital strategy to drive awareness and lead programmes for health care professionals, patients and health care providers in the region
  • Identify key opinion leaders and drives programmes to deliver thought leadership for the brand and relationship development for Insulet.
  • Partner with the Market Access team to identify and address health economics and clinical evidence needs.
  • Manage marketing program budget for Spain. Will be responsible for allocating and monitoring spend to ensure the budget is optimized and cost savings identified.
  • Stay informed on healthcare system dynamics, regulatory changes, and clinical trends in Spain to anticipate market needs.

Education And Experience

  • Experience in regulated environments like pharmaceuticals or medical devices,
  • Experience working within diabetes preferred
  • Bachelor and/or Master’s degree (with marketing & business focus beneficial)
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing to Healthcare Professionals required (& to Consumers beneficial), with understanding of digital marketing.
  • Experience in new product commercialization/launch including working experience in downstream marketing and supporting sales team.
  • Proven track record in building trustworthy relationships and influencing Healthcare Professionals and Patient Organizations.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence without authority, including demonstrated experience gaining senior leader perspectives and support.
  • Previous sales experience a plus
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).

Physical Requirements

  • Periodic travel will be required – this will be to attend meetings in key markets, attend tradeshows/conferences, join sales teams on HCP visits
  • Company office is in Madrid – this role is hybrid
