A new automotive brand, part of a leading Chinese automotive group, is establishing its European production hub in Spain. We are now hiring a Production Logistics Specialist to design and implement all inbound logistics and warehouse operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- As the OEM client (Party A), collaborate with the logistics team of the contract manufacturer (Party B) to manage the inbound and warehousing operations of KD parts at the Spain warehouse, ensuring continuous and stable supply to the production line.
- Inbound Management: Coordinate inland transportation of KD parts from ports to warehouse, supervise unloading, inspection, receipt, and system posting in ERP. Warehouse Management: Manage inventory accuracy and storage standards; ensure optimal stacking, storage environment, and perform cycle and annual stock counts.
- Jointly develop warehouse standards with the contract manufacturer's logistics team, provide optimization proposals, and ensure the execution of cycle counts and quarterly stock counts.
- Shortage Control: Monitor stock levels in real time, identify and escalate shortage risks, and collaborate with the logistics manager to resolve part shortages.
- Kanban & Sequencing: Implement and maintain pull-based Kanban or sequencing systems aligned with production takt time.
- Return & Claims: Handle inspection, return, and supplier claims for defective or non-conforming KD parts.
- Collaborate closely with warehouse operators, material planners, and production supervisors to ensure operational efficiency and zero-line stoppage.
- Prepare and update logistics operation documents, procedures, and performance reports.
- Support warehouse layout optimization, slotting analysis, and internal logistics flow improvement.
- Core Value: Manage the “last mile” from warehouse to production line, ensuring continuous production and preventing any line stoppage.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related fields. Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing logistics or warehouse management, with proven experience coordinating directly with OEM production lines.
- System Skills: Proficient in warehouse and ERP systems, especially SAP PP/MM modules; capable of handling material documents independently. Language Skills: Native-level Spanish and fluent business English (able to read BOMs, SOPs, and communicate effectively); Catalan and Chinese are a plus. Inventory Management: Strong command of inventory control methods; capable of performing cycle counting and variance analysis with ≥99.5% accuracy. Material Handling: Familiar with production-driven material pull systems and sequencing management.
- Problem Solving: High sensitivity to part shortages; capable of initiating emergency procedures and following through to resolution.
- Warehouse Planning: Knowledge of warehouse zoning, slotting optimization, and logistics flow design for efficiency improvement.
- Hands-on, field-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Strong stress tolerance, capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced automotive production environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills; able to collaborate with contract manufacturer personnel and internal logistics teams.
