We are looking for a new R&D Manager for our Essential Oils team. In this role, you will report directly to our GM. Through our customized approach you have the opportunity to discuss and define products directly with our globally based sales team and their key clients.

In this role, you are the people manager of our R&D Team, working in a fully equipped creation lab in our offices in Barcelona.

What you’ll do:

• Create natural and synthetic compositions that replicate the profile of pure essential oils for various markets, especially Flavours & Fragrances, Aromatherapy, Personal Care, Oral Care, Homecare
• Adapt existing Blends in accordance with the customers' specific requirements: profile, price, application, etc.
• Interpret the technical analysis to copy benchmark Blends or Pure essential oils
• Select the appropriate existing blend from the Library to answer the clients’ needs
• Optimize the Library of Pure Essential Oils and Blends, in collaboration with the Product Manager
• Advise and help in the decision-making processes with regards to accepting/rejecting raw materials
  
  

What you’ll bring:

• Due to the scientific nature of this job, we ask you for bring a degree in Science
• Good knowledge of aroma chemicals, essential oils or natural products used in creating fragrances, personal care, home care, and/or food products.
• Good knowledge of GC-MS (Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry) and interpretation of their data and statistical analysis
• Familiarity with the legislation that affects the fragrance sector
• Business fluency in English is required. Additional working knowledge of other major European languages is an advantage in this international job
