Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Affairs Intern to join our team and support our REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) compliance activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in chemical regulation and contribute to the success of our regulatory affairs team.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist with REACH Compliance: Support the regulatory affairs team in ensuring that the company complies with all aspects of the REACH regulation.
  • Documentation and Dossier Management: Assist with the preparation and maintenance of REACH registration dossiers, including collecting and organizing technical data and other required documents.
  • Maintain Regulatory Records: Assist in maintaining up-to-date records of all REACH-related submissions and regulatory correspondence for internal reference.
  • Support in Submission of Data: Provide support during the submission of REACH registration dossiers, including following up on submissions, reviewing feedback from ECHA, and ensuring necessary actions are taken in response to any requests for additional information.
  • Communication with stakeholders: Coordinate communication with external stakeholders (e.g. consortia, registrants and regulatory authorities) and provide regular updates on the compliance activities.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to collect the necessary information.

The Ideal Candidate

Desired Background

  • Education: A degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Toxicology or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications in regulatory affairs, product safety or REACH will be considered a plus.
  • Experience: No prior experience is required, but any previous internship in regulatory affairs, chemical safety, or compliance is advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills & Talents

More specifically, we would seek the following attributes and competencies for the position:

  • Fully fluent in English. Any other language, and particularly Spanish, can be a plus.
  • Ability to work in teams and to coordinate activities with other colleagues also located in other countries.
  • Organized, precise, and detail oriented.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interest in studying and learning.
  • Strong interest in learning about regulatory affairs.
