Introduction

Smart Nano-Bio-Devices Research Group seeks a Laboratory Technician to support synthesis and characterization of micro-and nanoparticles for advanced nano-bio devices.

Responsibilities

Synthesize micro- and nanoparticles (inorganic and organic) and support group members in synthesis.

Maintain analytical and characterization tools, responsible for equipment based on skills.

Assist in sample preparation and characterization by SEM, TEM and other microscopy techniques.

Organize lab, order reagents and equipment in coordination with technicians and Group Leader.

Introduce new lab members to facilities and lab rules.

Manage group's equipment reservation calendars and train new users.

Oversee onboarding and check-out of group members.

Manage lab spaces and computers.

Act as contact person between researchers and distributors, maintenance, security, secretary, and IBEC departments (IT, Core, Facilities, Health & Safety, Finances, Communications).

Ensure lab safety.

Qualifications

Degree or master's in chemistry, nanoscience, nanotechnology, nanomaterials, or biomedical sciences.

Knowledge of nanoparticle synthesis (inorganic or organic) and characterization techniques (e.g., DLS, Z-potential, spectroscopy).

Experience with SEM/TEM microscopy, 3D printing, or cell culture is advantageous.

High level of English.

Excellent communication, teamwork, collaboration, commitment, proactivity, integrity, critical and analytical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
