Overview

We are currently looking for a Junior Data scientist to join our dynamic team, where you will be responsible to extract, analyze, and interpret data to solve complex problems and drive actionable insights within Locaria. You will work as a member of the data and data science team creating tech solutions for clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.
• Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve specific business problems.
• Perform model evaluation, validation, and optimization to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Communicate findings and insights effectively through data visualization techniques and presentations.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and related technologies.
  
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau) to present findings effectively.
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
