We are seeking to recruit a a research assistant for the project ‘Synthetic populations: Towards the identification of the minimum information needed to create them fruitfully’ of the eHealtLab group of the Faculty of Information and Documentation Sciences.

The aim of the project is to leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) to create Synthetic Populations. Specifically, we aim to determine the minimal yet most effective set of information required to generate a representative Synthetic Population efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct different experiments with LLMs related to our main aims.
• Contribute to the analyses of results.
• Contribute to the dissemination of scientific products based on the obtained results.

The successful candidate will be awarded a temporary contract until 26 March 2026 on a part-time basis (12,99% of the working day) with an expected incorporation in May.

The reference headquarters will be located at 22@, Rambla del Poblenou, 156, in Barcelona. However, at the UOC we work with an open work model that combines teleworking with face-to-face work, depending on organisational needs and the nature of the tasks.

What kind of profile are we looking for?

• Being able to conduct experiments by using API under LLMs
• Experience in statistics and creation of scientific outputs
• Advanced coding skills in Python Proficiency in the Office package.
• Working proficiency in English
• Good team working skills

We also value

• Relevant publications in the area
• Working proficiency in Catalan and/or Spanish
• Interest in research.
